I booked Hotel Emile at my daughters request, I think its because of how pretty the bar underneath is. Having read reviews, and its proximity to all the attractions I booked a good deal via booking.com. Based in the trendy St Marais district with the Metro literally across the road, it was the perfect location for everything. La Favourite bar is underneath the hotel and whilst nothing to do with the hotel, is super handy for popping in if you want a quick drink or a nightcap - it is open till early hours tho - whilst we didn't hear anything at all, some people did and we heard some visitors complaining. Understanding that Paris rooms were supposedly tiny, ours was actually more than adequate for me and a messy 18 year old. The reception staff were always very pleasant and helped with advise on best routes to get to all the attractions. We didn't make breakfast but believe it was a basic coffee, orange juice and croissant. The room was clean, bed super comfy and our outlook with the balcony was perfect. The 18 year old hung out the window and took many a photo for her instagram!!! 2 downsides to our room - the bath/shower which is located in the same room (the toilet is separate) whilst it looks aesthetically lovely, every time we showered, the room flooded. Wasn't a huge problem, once we'd done it once, we soon learnt how to minimise it - but you cannot shower without bucket loads of water all over the floor. The second downside was the air con. We travelled when the temperature was 37/38 degrees and the air con wasn't adequate enough. We understood from persons residing on the upper floors (we were on the 4th) that there was no air con and in temps that high, I'm sure this would have made the experience unbearable. These were the only downsides tho and I would definitely recommend this fabulous hotel to anyone.

Location is brilliant, easy to get to from the airport using the RER and Metro. Concierge provided very helpful instructions and assistance prior to our arrival. The hotel is a 2 min walk from the metro station. You can walk also to the Louvre (around 20-25 mins straight forward walk) or Notre-Dame (15 mins walk) and pick up a hop-on-hop-off bus for sight-seeing. The view from the hotel is lovely, it overlooks a little square with a carousel. Amenities are great, a Carrefour city is across the road, there are lots of bakeries/patisseries, pharmacies, a cheese shop and chocolatier, and many restaurants in the immediate area and walkable (within 20 mins - you would struggle to find a bad meal!) The room itself is quiet (there is a church opposite so expect clock chimes) and well-furnished. They make a great use of the small space. There is a lift which fits 2 people in, very useful when staying on the higher floors. Breakfast is included (continental) and served 7-10am, you can get hot drinks from the machine all day. The bed and bedding is incredibly comfortable and the curtains were very good so it blocked out the light, slept brilliantly. Also you can connect to the Wifi (very good signal) and stream any Chromecast-compatible apps to the televisions, great for when you are getting ready to go out!

Location was excellent for exploring the Marais - Room decor and preparation first class - the shower was "Open Plan" in the room as the walls were floor to ceiling glass - of course the hotel could have built a solid wall but the room will have felt much smaller and the glass was so perfectly clean and high quality tiling that is worked really well.... of course trendy hotel rooms often have roll top Victorian baths in a bedroom and many people like that layout ( plus wc was in seperate room with solid walls )

I think what makes all the difference is the service. Beyond what is expected, unfortunately I don't know her name but the receptionist is such a kind woman who made this service worthwhile thanks to her intentions to help us. She gave us the right tips and helped us with everything we asked for, even just a wholehearted smile in the morning. We didn't have time to say goodbye and say thank you, so thank you for the wonderful service

The staff were very nice and helpful. It was my first solo trip to Paris and i was a bit nervous but when I arrived there were two amazing ladies in the reception who really helped and explained everything to me. The hotel is near the metro station and in a good area. My room had a vey nice balcony. The room is small but cozy and modern in the same time
